If you have a previous version of ALLVUE, bring up the Control Panel, double click on Add/Remove programs, and remove ALLVUE from your system. The de-installation procedure is automatic and quick. If you do not remove ALLVUE, there may be conflicts with older DLLs. Depending upon how often or rarely you install other applications that update your system files, you may receive a warning that some of your system files are out of date. Should this occur, the installation procedure is notifying you that ALLVUE PRO cannot run with the older system (DLL) files. To proceed, the installation process must update those files and then reboot. After the reboot, restart the installation procedure. With the updated files in place, the installation of ALLVUE PRO should proceed very quickly and easily taking less than two minutes.
Windows NT Users: Service Pack 3 should be installed on your system to run all current software from Microsoft and others.
1. ALLVUE PRO is a multiple image file manager created to easily and quickly sort, cull, search, and locate multiple image files for Web-pages, photos, graphic designs, clip art, and other image types. It is 32-bit software application that runs on Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT V4.0.
ALLVUE PRO displays fifteen image files at once. You can scroll forward or backwards through hundreds or thousands of image files. ALLVUE PRO will copy, move, rename, delete, and print image files. You can choose to work on screen or print pages of single or all fifteen images at a time (in color if you have a color printer) to work off-line. For each image, you can choose to display file name, image size, number of colors, last date modified or the size of the file in bytes. And by clicking on an image, ALLVUE PRO will zoom in under your control to examine and magnify any section you wish to examine up to 5,000%. You can also print or copy to the clipboard the entire image or just a cropped and magnified section.
2. When you have downloaded the distribution kit, all you need do is run "setup.exe". It will take care of the rest and let you select or create a directory for ALLVUE PRO. The installation procedure also uses Windows 95/98/NT "Add/Remove Programs" feature to support removal if you decide to remove it from your computer for any reason. Just select "START/SETTINGS/CONTROL PANEL", and click on the "Add/Remove Programs" option. A dialog box will appear with a list of programs you can remove. Just select ALLVUE PRO and follow the instructions.
3. ALLVUE PRO is free to use for a 30 day evaluation. You then have the option of registering it for permanent use or deleting it from your system. In addition to the registration process making your use of ALLVUE PRO legal, it will also remove the "Evaluation Mode" bar and license reminder and will allow you to perform individual and bulk operations on the bottom 10 images.
4. The program may be freely distributed in "Evaluation Mode" as long as it is done so in its entirety with all copyrights, license information, this readme file, etc. In other words, the entire ZIP file you downloaded from our site or one of our distributors.

7. Version changes:
Version 1.00 is a new release which upgrades the functionality of ALLVUE to the professional version and adds the ability to move image files individually and in bulk. There are several ZOOM functions that allow the user to magnify and crop the image and print it magnified and cropped. It also adds the ability to copy the image to the clipboard (whole or magnified and cropped), save any displayed image file to a BMP file regardless of its source type, scan file tpyes, plus other additional enhancements.
Version 1.01 is a minor bug-fix. It fixes a problem with the "Scan File Types" routine and moved or deleted files.
Version 1.02 is a minor bug-fix. It will display some partial and corrupted files rather than showing them as blank. Also, Windows' style contents has been added to the Help system.
Version 1.03 is a minor bug-fix. It is a work-around to address full-page multi-image printouts on HP Laserjet printers.
Version 1.20 is an update. This update adds several enhancements:
1. You now have the ability to quickly find image files by their names in the selected directory by using the new find/search facility.
2. You can now select a portion or all of the files across ALLVUE PRO's image pages for bulk operations -- you're no longer limited to one page of the 15 images displayed.
3. A right-click on a directory when using Windows' Explorer file manager will let you start ALLVUE PRO to manage the image files visually in that directory.
4. There is a printer resolution enhancement to take advantage of higher resolutions in Multi-view mode.
5. A Copy/Move conflict routine has been added which simultaneously displays the source and destination images so you can decide to overwrite or skip that image file -- just because image files have the same name doesn't mean they're the same image.
Version 1.21 is a minor bug-fix. In the past, directories were always added to the "Last-Used" list when a new directory was selected unless it was done at time of starting ALLVUE PRO -- now, it gets added even at that time. Also, moves of some files to another drive sometimes ended with an error 340 -- this has been fixed. Finally, setting the "Last-Used" list to 3, 6, or 9 resulted in a fixed setting of 15 -- now, the selection remains set at whatever number youÆve selected. But, you must remember to save the settings from the options menu or use the "Save Settings On Exit" option.
Version 1.22 has an enhancement and two work-arounds. While version 1.20 introduced the ability to select image files across ALLVUE PRO's 15 page display for Copies, Moves, and Deletes, printing did not traverse that boundary -- now it does.
Also, two printer problems have been reported when using certain printers and a work-around has been developed for each:
1. Large images sometimes cover the page title depending upon the printer or printer driver used. Two reported printers which caused this problem were the HP 5SI/MX and the Apple Color/Laserwriter 12/600 using the latest Adobe Postscript driver. As a workaround, there is now a "Top of Image" setting on the Printer Settings sub menu ("Options" menu) which allows the user to set the top of the image higher or lower as needed.
2. Long page titles would not center properly on the printouts from some printers -- a work-around has fixed that problem on all printers for which it has been reported to date.
